October 16th 2012 Salmon Trip

Made the run to Pulaski for some King Salmon fall run action since the offshore forecast locally was Ass! Took about 6hrs by car. Lou and I took Brandon, Erich and Nick along for the run.
Strait pouring rain for the entire first day but we were fishing only 10 minutes after checking in.  It didn't take us long to dial in on the patterns up there. The first day alone we landed a bunch of nice Kings,

A monster Steelhead and even a few Cohos.

The Next day we did some scouting around and found a nice brook that had some fresher looking kings in very shallow water. Made for spectacular arial battles.

We also had a visitor come check us out and hang out with us for a while.

All and all a great trip, not every day you can target 20lb fish in less than a foot of water.

Making the trip even better we had photo sharpie Erich Medenbach along to shoot some of the action. Great time, hit me up if you would like to try this out with us next year.
