Snug Harbor Shark Tournament July 7 8 9 2012

Fished the snug harbor shark Tourny this weekend with my brother Lou. I put the boots to this fish landing it in just over 25 minutes and with the help of the rest of the hot reels team rob, rob, stro, and Kyle. Had it tails up at the side of the boat in under 30 minutes over all. We sat anxiously in first place all day but as shark tournys go a fish was weighed in with only to minutes left to victory that beat us out by 50+ pounds. Ain't that a bitch! We won second place thresh 2nd over all and won the silent weight.

July 1st thru 3rd 2012 New England Mix part 1

 

Saturdy went scouting for surface feeding bluefin and went 0 for 2 on massive commercial sized fish, watched the coolest topwater strike Ive ever seen off my buddy Domenic Petrarca's bow. Then Sunday took East Coast Regulars Rob and Amanda out for some sharks, went 7 for 7 on bluesharks including one close to 200lbs landed by Amanda Waldman on a spinning rod! (Awsome) Then right at the end of the day were treated to a quick show by a small thresher as it tourmented and grabbed one of our live bluefish, before tangling itself in our line and cutting free "Son of a...."! Then Monday took a crew out on Hot Reels for a full day bass charter, took a while for lou and I to crack the code but got into some nice looking bass in the 30s and 40's. What a diverse weekend of work! Tell me its not sick to live in New England!

 

 

June 29th 2012

On Saturday, Took a trip on board first time client Craig Rollins 20ft Wellcraft. He wanted to put his client Dr Adam Seidner on a few fish. The Catch was they couldn't go until 9am. Talk about putting me to the test. So I grabbed 4 old Pogies from my buddy Neil Hayes and went down to meet them.. After a quick meet and greet we sped out to the grounds and I got at it. First drop I had these guys doubled up on fish in the high teens. I ended up turning 4 pogies into 9 bass lol. Not a bad day!

Second Half of June 24th 2012 Marathon

 

So for the second half of the 24ths marthon charter day we fished with John Higgins his Father John Sr and there close friend Paul. With all of the googan boat traffic sending title waves at us and a stiff breeze from west it made for some challenging conditions. But never the less We limited everyone out on bass including two fish on our first drop and ending with a very memorable moment, John Higgins SR "80" years old, hooking up with and battling one of the best looking hardest fighting Bass Ive seen in the bay all year. It would have made a challange for a man or woman a quarter of his age! It was a hell of a way to end 19hrs of working my ass off. A truely memorable moment for his family and for East Coast Charters. We were very fortunate to have Camera Pro and my close friend Erich Medenbach on board with us to capture the action as it unfolded. I'll post more pics from this trip later!

June 24 2012 Back to Back Marathon

On the 24th we had two trips back to back. The first trip was with East Coast All Star Dan Chin and his Client and friend Brian. The action was great boasting many double ups and even a successful triple up. Great day with great Guys. We got so far a head on fishing that at the end of the trip we went on an intense team pogy snagging expedition for my second charter of the day. Thanks for for all the help guys!

June 19th Bassing 2012

 

When Dave Ruggeri's Wife Tammi Called an booked a trip a half day trip for his birthday with 5 of his friends, I called up Co-Capt Lou and told him to gas up "Hot Reels" for a large party bass trip. The Conditions where nasty out of the ENE but only days before Brandon Lake and I had found some large bass on one of our favorite patterns that would be sheltered by land during the blow. After a meeting of them minds with by bro Louie, we decided to for-go running to the bluefish ridden Island and run to where brandon and I slayed them earlier in the week. Well despite the rough conditions and tough fishing the combinations of Louies Boat handling, the superpowered tranducer and insane electronics on Hot Reels, and the Pattern Brandon and I pinnned down a few days before we where able to drag some of the biggest fish of the year over the rail. The largest landed by birthday boy Dave. I couldn't have asked for a better senerio. Big thanks to Brandon Lake and Capt Lou for Making East Coast even better!
