Bass Trips o pleanty August 1st -9th 2012 Part 1

Ran a bunch of trips out to the Island on Hot Reels for early August and got everyone into some Monster Bass! Cant wait to see what roles in for the fall.

Oak Bluffs Monster Shark 2012

Captains Jack and Lou, fished as hired guns on board the 58 Ocean Karamiss for this years tourney. Made a long 100 mile run going all or nothing on a large porbeagle. Caught lots of sharks but not the one we were looking for. In between sharks we jigged up as many different species as we could in the deep 600+ft of water.
Play how many species can you identify lol. Lou and I jigged these fish up in 600ft of water on Shimano Flat-side Stingo PBJ's and Deep Force Jigs. We were getting baits for a porbeagle. What a riot!

July 15th - August 6th 2012 Off shore Trips

Lou and I Just wrapped up a 3 day in a row offshore bender targeting sharks tuna and other near coastal pelagics. Despite some harassment from large offshore bluefish we managed to land some nice fish. Will post pics later. One of the highlights from this weekends trips were the arrival of these tasty green speedsters, landed by customers Rick Maggorie and friends.

(Update) Here are some pics of the off shore mix

Snug Harbor Shark Tournament July 7 8 9 2012

Fished the snug harbor shark Tourny this weekend with my brother Lou. I put the boots to this fish landing it in just over 25 minutes and with the help of the rest of the hot reels team rob, rob, stro, and Kyle. Had it tails up at the side of the boat in under 30 minutes over all. We sat anxiously in first place all day but as shark tournys go a fish was weighed in with only to minutes left to victory that beat us out by 50+ pounds. Ain't that a bitch! We won second place thresh 2nd over all and won the silent weight.

Had a great time with great guys! I'd like to thank mike crow and "Deep " ocean apparel for sponsoring us! We got some great footage I'll be posting later!

June 29th 2012

On Saturday, Took a trip on board first time client Craig Rollins 20ft Wellcraft. He wanted to put his client Dr Adam Seidner on a few fish. The Catch was they couldn't go until 9am. Talk about putting me to the test. So I grabbed 4 old Pogies from my buddy Neil Hayes and went down to meet them.. After a quick meet and greet we sped out to the grounds and I got at it. First drop I had these guys doubled up on fish in the high teens. I ended up turning 4 pogies into 9 bass lol. Not a bad day!

Second Half of June 24th 2012 Marathon

So for the second half of the 24ths marthon charter day we fished with John Higgins his Father John Sr and there close friend Paul. With all of the googan boat traffic sending title waves at us and a stiff breeze from west it made for some challenging conditions. But never the less We limited everyone out on bass including two fish on our first drop and ending with a very memorable moment, John Higgins SR "80" years old, hooking up with and battling one of the best looking hardest fighting Bass Ive seen in the bay all year. It would have made a challange for a man or woman a quarter of his age! It was a hell of a way to end 19hrs of working my ass off. A truely memorable moment for his family and for East Coast Charters. We were very fortunate to have Camera Pro and my close friend Erich Medenbach on board with us to capture the action as it unfolded. I'll post more pics from this trip later!
