A few months back I was contacted to do a shoot with animal planet in early may, they were already doing a shoot with a surf angler for skishing and wanted to see what else new England had to offer. I was hoping to get them out and do some awesome bluefin or swordfishing but we had to work with the window they had. So we took them out for some rhode island rod and reel squidding lol! Large crew so... I teamed up with my brother Lou and got them out on "hot Reels " while east coast mates nick fraiser and brandon lake helped out from a 21cc. Caught a bunch of squid and laughed my ass off in the process. Eric Young is a great guy he had a lot of respect for the process while making it a lot of fun. I hope that network television continues to pay more attention to the hard working men and women that make a living on the sea through out the North east region, we have an amazing fishery and a lot of great anglers to film with up here! The show is called "Off the hook: Extreme catches" and the episode is called "skishing hell week" it airs tonight at 8pm est on Animal Planet. Should be entertaining if you get a chance to watch.
