Run this trip aboard one of the larger boats in the fleet "Tree Guy" a 28 Blue water. With the nastier weather back home upgraded repeat clients Rob Perez and Amanda Waldman to a cape run for a shot at a bluefin tuna. Got up there to some nice conditions and absolute acres of bait. Looked like bft heaven....minus the bft. Worked with my friends Dom and Josh and Corey to find fish all on separate boats but it was the same story all over lots of food no charlie. Amanda ran an absolute clinic on Mackerel while butterfly jigging on light gear and lou must have snagged about bucket of nice herring for the canyons this year. After the hunt was coming to an end we made a quick peak aroud the inside of cc bay for some striped cape lemonade. I look forward to taking rob and amanda out again for some inshore action later this season.
