Hands down one of the most enjoyable trout openers on record for ECC. Big kudos to RI State Hatchery program and there staff that was easily the most and largest average sized fish I have ever seen. Culling through for larger fish I limited... out by 645! Then processed to catch and release tons of nice rainbows and browns until around noon when Erich Erich Medenbach showed up for some camera fun. The bite had slowed as even though there were plenty of fish around they were getting gun shy from the morning bombardment. After two casts will follows and no love E ran back to his truck and came back with a box of shad killers. He tied one on and the proceeded to limit out on fish faster than I have ever seen it done lol looked like Mediterranean Skip Jack fishing! Fitting that Brown Trout are native to Germany as Medenbach and I ran the German two step on them all afternoon! Even after 10 years of fishing hard together it was still as fun as the first sick trip. Then after having out fill of the action we broke out the cameras and got to work shooting some great action of our fish and the fellow anglers around us. I'm strait beat now all I put up are junk cell phone shots, but keep an eye out for some of Erich Medenbachs work later there are some killer shots!See More.
